Polynesian burgers

Think of tropical beaches & pineapples. Now add some ground beef & frying pan.

Ingredients for the burger

  • 1 1/2 lb Ground beef
  • 1×8 oz Can pineapple slices (Keep the juice)
  • 1×10 1/2 oz Can condensed french onion soup
  • 2 tsp Packed brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp Unrefined apple cider vinegar

Ingredients to serve:

  • 1 Loaf of french bread cut
  • Diagonally into 6 pieces

Preparation:

Divide the meat into 6 & pat the balls down to 1/2 thick. Fry them over a med high heat until well browned on both sides. Top each patty with a pineapple slice. Combine the condensed soup, pineapple juice from can, sugar, & vinegar in a bowl. Pour this into the pan with the patties in it & bring to the boil, then drop the heat setting to low. Keep it hot until the burgers are cooked through (5 minutes). Split the french loaf pieces up & serve with the burgers & warm sauce. Enjoy!
