Whole turkey

A juicy, golden brown turkey is practically its own Christmas tradition and easier to make than you way think.

Ingredients:

  • 1 whole turkey, thawed and rinsed, innards removed
  • 1 grapefruit, sliced
  • 1 orange, sliced
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • 1 lime, sliced
  • 1/8 cup of oil
  • 2 tablespoons of herbs de Provence

Preparation:

Preheat to oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit. Stuff the cavity of the turkey with the grapefruit, orange, lemon, and lime slices. Rub the skin with the oil and sprinkle the herbs de Provence over the surface. Place the turkey in a greased roasting pan and tent with aluminum foil. Roast, occasionally brushing the juices over the turkey, until the meat’s temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit. Remove the foil 30 minutes before completion to allow the turkey to brown.

Serving suggestion

Modify what spices or fruits you use to season and stuff the turkey to suit your personal tastes.
