Homemade rolls

Rolls are another versatile side item and are practically a requirement at holiday meals.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoons of yeast
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1 cup of warm water
  • 1/2 cup of butter, softened
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 4 cups of flour

Preparation:

In a large bowl, combine the yeast, sugar, water, butter, salt, and flour. Mix well. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and allow the dough to rise refrigerator for about five hours. After the dough has risen, place on a floured surface, coating the dough. Divide the dough into balls and place on al greased sheet pan. Let the rolls rise for one more hour. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Bake for 10 minutes, or until the rolls are golden.

Serving suggestion

Make the dough beforehand and allow it to rise overnight to save some time on this recipe.
