Green bean casserole

This holiday stalwart is a great way to sneak in some vegetables.

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups of green beans
  • 11 ounce can of cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 1 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups of french fried onions

Preparation:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Boil the green beans in a saucepan over medium high heat until they become tender. Drain and transfer to an oiled casserole dish. Add the soup, milk, and black pepper to the casserole; stir to combine. Evenly distribute the onions over the top of the casserole. Bake for 25 minutes.

Serving suggestion:

Try cream of chicken soup or another flavor for a different take on this dish.
