{"id":16764,"date":"2018-11-13T11:07:25","date_gmt":"2018-11-13T10:07:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.irenemilito.it\/?p=16764"},"modified":"2018-11-13T11:07:25","modified_gmt":"2018-11-13T10:07:25","slug":"pecan-pie-french-toast","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.irenemilito.it\/en\/pecan-pie-french-toast\/","title":{"rendered":"Pecan pie french toast"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>3\/4 cup whole milk<\/li>\n<li>1 cup heavy cream<\/li>\n<li>8 large eggs<\/li>\n<li>2 tbsp vanilla extract<\/li>\n<li>1 loaf of french bread, cut into 8 thick slices<\/li>\n<li>1 stick of butter<\/li>\n<li>1 cup packed brown sugar<\/li>\n<li>1\/3 cup corn syrup<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 cup maple syrup<\/li>\n<li>1 cup chopped pecans<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Preparation<\/b><strong>:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In a large bowl, whisk together the milk, cream, eggs, and vanilla. Set aside. Arrange the slices of bread a large shallow baking dish. Make sure the pieces of bread are not overlapping. Pour the liquid over the bread and cover and refrigerate for 6 hours or overnight. When ready to bake, preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Remove from hear and whisk in a brown sugar, corn syrup, maple syrup, and pecans. Spread the pecan mixture evenly across the bottom of a greased 3 quart casserole dish. Carefully arrange to soaked bread on top of the pecan mixture. Once again, make sure the bread isn&#8217;t overlapping.
